This website was created by the “ICT Professions” working group from the swissICT trade association in collaboration with the Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Organisation und Management (SGO) and with the participation of many well-known Swiss companies.
The Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Organisation und Management (SGO) was founded in 1967 as an association based in Zurich on the initiative of several heads of organizations of major Swiss companies and administrations. Today, the SGO has more than 1,500 members and, through the ASIO (Associazione Svizzera Italiana d’Organizzazione e Management) and the ASO (Association Suisse d’Organisation et de Management), has an impact across Switzerland with a combined membership of more than 2,000 members. For decades, organization and project management have been the backbone of large Swiss corporations and administrations and, increasingly, of small and medium-sized enterprises. The change to the job profile of the “organizer” and the “project manager” has not changed the indispensability of their tasks, as at a time when project-based work is becoming more and more important, organizers and project leaders are in demand as professionals. Since its founding, the SGO has been dedicated to gaining knowledge about organization and management in all of Switzerland’s linguistic regions. It is active at all levels: in the research, development and dissemination of organizational knowledge, in the training and certification of young professionals, as well as in continuing education and the exchange of experience for advanced professionals.
Thanks to the interplay of these areas, SGO can offer a uniquely broad range of products.
