Structure of occupation descriptions

All occupation descriptions are divided into two parts and are organized according to a uniform structure (except for managerial functions).  Only a consideration of both parts of the respective occupation description enables a correct and comprehensive interpretation.

Training

This specifies the minimum basic training which is usually required to pursue the occupation. It is irrelevant how the required level of knowledge was obtained.

Required competencies

Required competencies are described in the competency model and include:

  • Technical and methodological competencies
  • Business- / position-related competencies
  • Personal competencies

Taxonomy of required competencies

It comprises four different levels of requirements and qualifications:

  • Low requirements in terms of knowledge / experience / competence
  • Moderate requirements in terms of knowledge / experience / competence
  • High requirements in terms of knowledge / experience / competence
  • Very high requirements in terms of knowledge / experience / competence
